Your first RS Production OEE configuration

To get your RS Production it up and running, there are a few things that needs to be in place.

1. First of all

Install RS Production on your Windows computer. Open the RS Production application and open the Office tools client.

2. Rename the OEE measure points that have been assigned to your account

When you have foundyour Measure points. It is a good thing to give them names that is meaningful to you. Follow this instruction, Change name of a measure point.

There are also several other Office tools measure point settings you can do.

3. Connect and configure machine signals

Machine signals are central in the creation of data for RS Production.

Before you start to take out signals from machines and sensors, it is good to understand Uptime, downtime and cycle times in RS Production. Also, it is recommended to read about What kind of machine signals can RS Production handle?

4. Schedule machine calendar time

Use the schedule to define available machine time. Read here about Scheduling of 100% availability.

Set default schedule for each measure point to create a repetetive schedule that repeats weak after weak.

5. Set up your loss model

Add and edit reason codes, categories and folders

6. Add articles and orders

7. Add users and share login credentials with them
