Users and operators are two different things in RS Production.
User
A user is the person who logs in with their user name and password. A user can log into Office tools, operator tools, Info screens or Mobile. The users’ logins are not used for any calculations in the production follow-up.
HOW TO Create user in RS Production
User roles
To control access to various functions in Office tools there are user roles.
Report user | Access to reports, but no access to make changes |
User | Can change things relating to day-to-day operations, such as schedule and times for orders. |
Super user | Have full access to configure the system, including adding new users. |
New super users can only be added by RS Production support.
Operator
An operator is a member of production staff who can clock in in Operator tools as part of the production reporting system. The operator’s clock-in is used to calculate e.g. manhours and productivity.
