Users, roles and operators

This page gives you an understanding of users and roles in RS Production.

Users and operators are two different things in RS Production.

User

A user is the person who logs in with their user name and password. A user can log into Office tools, operator tools, Info screens or Mobile. The users’ logins are not used for any calculations in the production follow-up.

User roles

To control access to various functions in Office tools there are user roles.

Report user

Access to reports, but no access to make changes

User

Can change things relating to day-to-day operations, such as schedule and times for orders.

Super user

Have full access to configure the system, including adding new users.

 

New super users can only be added by RS Production support.

Operator

An operator is a member of production staff who can clock in in Operator tools as part of the production reporting system. The operator’s clock-in is used to calculate e.g. manhours and productivity.
