Parallel production runs

This is a feature in RS Production OEE

In RS Production OEE you can run parallel production runs on the same OEE measure point.

Alternatively, you can decide to have separate OEE measure points on the same production line. In this case, each measure point is handled independently from the other.

If you want to automatically change the production run on measure point B when at the same time as you change on measure point A, you should use the “master measure point” feature. It reflects the change of a production run from one measure point to one or more predefined measure points.

Starting and stopping of production runs

Each production run is started and stopped independent of the other production runs.

Produced amount during parallel production runs

The cycle signals (or amount signals) that is assigned to the measure point is used to calculate produced amount for all parallel production runs.

Each of the production runs will use the “Units per cycle (cycle factor)” of their own assigned article.

Manual scrap registration during parallel production runs

When you run parallel production runs, it is recommended to use the scrap registration page you can reach from the production plan.

This opens up a scrap registration for a specific production run.

The default scrap registration page (opened from the bottom menu bar in Operator tools) registers same scrap on all ongoing production runs and is designed for running only on production run at the same time.

Auto scrapped amount during parallel production runs

The cycle signals (or amount signals) that is assigned to the measure point is used to calculate produced amount for all parallel production runs.

Each of the production runs will use the “Units per cycle (cycle factor)” of their own assigned article.

Stoppages during parallel production runs

All active production runs gets effected by a stoppage. No matter if it is one or several.

The measure point itself will only be registered for one minute of stop for each minute passing by.

But, each started production run will also be registered for one minute of stop each.

OEE calculation during parallel production runs

Each production run’s OEE is calculated separately.
