This is a feature in RS Production OEE


Reason codes can be used for coding stops, speed losses and quality losses (scrap and rework). To remove reason codes and folders please follow this instruction:Remove reason codes and folders.

Set up new stop reasons

  1. Start by going to “Settings”

  2. Go to “Stops”

  3. Press “Edit stop reasons”

  4. Click on the tab ”Reasons” on the right side.

  5. Click ”Create reason”

  6. Name it and set a color.

  7. Click “Save and close”.

Set up new categories and connect them to stop reasons

  1. Open the stop reason manager under settings again (check step 1-3 under “Set up reasons codes”)

  2. Select the “Categories” tab on the left side

  3. Press “Create a new category”

  4. Enter a name and choose color for the category and press save and close

  5. Select the “Reasons” tab on the right side

  6. Select a category on the left side to add a stop reason to the category:

  7. Add a stop reason by clicking the stop reason under the “Reasons” tab

    It should look like this when added:

Set up new folders and add stop reasons to them

  1. Open the stop reason manager (check step 1-3 under “Set up reasons codes”)

  2. Select “Folder structure”

  3. Select the “Folders” tab on the right side:

  4. Create a folder by clicking the button create a folder

  5. Give the folder a name and color

  6. Now there has been a main folder created. This one can be used to add stop reasons to. Follow the next steps to create sub folders.

  7. Select the folder that you want as main folder on the left side panel

  8. Search for the folder you want to add on the right side and press it to add it

  9. The folder structure should look like this now

  10. Place the reason code in a folder by selecting the folder in the left column

  11. Then click on the reason code in the right column to add it into the selected folder

  12. It should look like this now


  13. Repeat step 10-11 to add more stops.

Select your ”Main folder” in the left column and then click on the folder you created in the  right column.
